Harvey Heroes SAF Grant

Harvey Norman have teamed up with Sport Access Foundation to ensure more young Aussies living with a disability have a helping hand to join a local sporting club.

This grant is set up to encourage as many young children living with a disability to join a local sporting Club. The funds can be used to help pay for Club registration fees, carer cost, extra coaching, team uniforms or travel to participate in the sport.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be aged 7 to 12 years in the current calendar year.
  • Applicants must be a member of a club or wanting to join a club.
  • If shortlisted, applicants will need to need provide a letter from your Club or Coach of your sport verifying your participation in the sport.
  • If shortlisted, applicants will need to need provide relevant documentation verifying their disability.
  • There will be one recipient chosen from each state and territory, with the additional two grants to be allocated to a NSW and VIC applicant.
  • Applications close on 14 July 2019.

BlueScope Sporting Club Grants are for registered sporting clubs (affiliated with a National Sporting Organisation funded by Sport Australia) who provide programs or are about to implement programs to encourage young children with a disability to join their Club.

Funding from this grant will. be allocated to a program/s that improves opportunities for First Nations young girls and teenagers from the Bundjalung country to access sport. The grant will be a collaboration of SAF with the nominated sporting body.

The Harvey Heroes grant is provided to ensure young children aged 7-12 years living with a disability are linked in with a local sporting club. It is a requirement of this grant that you are currently a Member of a Club or that you provide details of the Club you intend to join.
