PICA Group Sporting Club Grants

PICA Group have teamed up with Sport Access Foundation to provide financial support for sporting clubs across the country.

Sporting Clubs are an integral part of providing young Australians living with a disability to access sport. This grant is to assist sporting clubs who provide programs and support for young Aussies with a disability to participate as a member of their club.

This grant is for a registered sporting Club affiliated with a National Sporting Organisation (as recognised by Sport Australia).

The grant must be used by a Club that demonstrates running/implementing specific programs to include children with a disability, and/or that already has children with a disability as members of their club.

The funding can be used for new and upgraded equipment such as marquees, lights, accessible club room and restrooms, accessible technology for club digital, cost to implement programs specifically for children with a disability and / or education of club officials / coaches / volunteers on working with children with a disability.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Registered Australian sporting Club affiliated with a National Sporting Organisation.
  • Criteria must be addressed in the application and this relates to how the grant will directly benefit and improve registration of children with a disability in their club.
  • If shortlisted, a letter from your Club President must be provided, confirming and supporting this application.
  • Applications close on 14 July 2019.

Of the 2017 and 2018 Sport Access Foundation grant recipient Our Honor Roll, whose story do you relate to most and why?

The Harvey Heroes grant is provided to ensure young children aged 7-12 years living with a disability are linked in with a local sporting club. It is a requirement of this grant that you are currently a Member of a Club or that you provide details of the Club you intend to join.

Grant Expenditure

NOTE: The grant funds are to be used between September 2019 to April 2020.

The Sport Access Foundation Equipment Grants are for young Australians aged 13-17 years with a disability who need assistance to purchase new or modified equipment. Applicants must be a member of a Club.

Sport Access Foundation Pathway to Paralympics grants are for young Australians aged 13-17 years with a disability who have aspirations to achieve the highest representation in their sport and as a minimum have already represented their state or country in their sport. Applicants must be a member of a Club.

BMD Group Indigenous Sporting Club or Program grant are for registered sporting clubs (affiliated with a National Sporting Organisation funded by Sport Australia) or government or non-for-profit funded programs (recognised by their council) in the NT who provide programs to encourage young Indigenous children with a disability to join their program or club.

NOTE: The following questions are in regards to Children of Indigenous decent.
