This October, Australia's triathlon community welcomes the world to Wollongong for the World Para Triathlon Championships, where two of Sport Access Foundation's Honour Roll members will compete on home soil.

SAF Honour Roll members, Jack Howell and Grace Brimelow, are prime examples of what determination and passion can achieve; both athletes are focused on the 2025 World Para Triathlon Championships in Wollongong.

Jack, currently ranked No. 2 globally in the PTS5 category, has earned a reputation for excellence on the world stage. Born with symbrachydactyly, Jack's journey began as a competitive swimmer and runner before transitioning into triathlon. Since 2022, he's claimed Australian and Oceania titles and clinched gold at major Para Series events. After finishing seventh in Paris, Jack now aims to climb even higher in Wollongong.

Grace, the youngest member of Australia's squad, is in the PTS4 category. Living with Cri du Chat syndrome, Grace competed internationally in 2023 and won the World Triathlon Para Cup Vigo. Though Paris brought the heartbreak with a DQ, Grace has bounced back, winning national titles and being recognised with the Triathlon Australia Emerging Athlete Award. Her relentless dedication has empowered young people with disabilities to dream big.

The event also features some amazing ambassadors, including SAF founder Katie Kelly, herself a Paralympic Gold Medallist and two-time world champion, who will mentor and promote the event both on-site and across media.

All eyes will be on Wollongong for the World Para Triathlon Championships from October 15–19, where Jack Howell and Grace Brimelow will again show Australia what’s possible with opportunity and support.

Sport Access Foundation is proud to cheer them on and to showcase these powerful athletes
