Our Founder, Katie joined Julie Clift on ABC Radio Gold Coast to celebrate International Women's Day and discuss this year's theme of #EmbraceEquity.

In the interview Katie discusses:

  • Inequity for people with disability to access sport
  • How Sport is closing the gap on inequities to sport
  • Sport4All receives a $10million funding for councils to work with their local sporting clubs to improve inclusion
  • Walking the 780km last year Camino with my white cane and challenging the unconscious bias people have of low vision
  • Joining forces with fellow Paralympian Michael Dobbie Bridges on her next challenge of the Gold Coast Marathon. Katie talks about what it would cost a wheelchair user and a legally blind person needing a guide. We estimate $26,000 ($20k wheelchair and $6k guide over 6 months)
